Korea is rapidly moving towards becoming a multicultural society and there is an increasing demand for specialists who have Korean language skills with general knowledge in Multiculturalism.
The Department of Korean Language and Multicultural Studies cultivates Korean language teachers who have special knowledge of multi-culture.

Considering that students are composed of different age groups, the curriculum is designed to provide future teachers to acquire technical theories in practical, simple, and comprehensive way and also offer various extra curricular activities for students to share their fields of interest.
Department of Korean Language and Multicultural Studies will plays the key role in cultivating specialists in social integration for foreigners through these above special knowledge and manpower network management

Department of Korean Language and Multicultural Studies allows students to acquire two professional certificates which are Korean Language Teacher Level 2 and Multi-Culture Specialist at the same time.
Educational objective of this department is
- To cultivate Korean Language Teacher who has culture-integrated teaching skills
- To cultivate Korean Language Teacher for foreigners who plan to work or study in Korea
- To provide scientific and unique teaching skills in "Korean Pronunciation" through contrastive analysis between the languages
